Davies quick to go on defence; GOLF LATEST...

ENGLAND'S Laura Davies yesterday successfully defended her Austrian title at the Golf Club Fohrenwald in Wiener Neustadt.

Davies, who began the final round tied for the lead with Swede Emma Zackrisson, shot a fourunder 68 to finish on 15-under 273, three strokes ahead of compatriot Lisa Hall.

Meanwhile, David Orr finished at the top of the pile for the 10th time on the Tartan Tour this season when he shared the honours in the Machrihanish Pro-Am.

Iain Colquhoun (Dundonald Links) and Ewan Hogarth (Peebles) tied for first place with four-under 65s in the Acergy Young Professionals' Pro-Am at Insch.
