Davies plays the waiting game.

NOTTINGHAM Forest manager Billy Davies is not getting carried away despite his side picking up three much-needed npower Championship points with a 2-0 win at Cardiff.

Lewis McGugan and Dexter Blackstock got the goals to lift Forest to sixth in the table.

Davies said: "I am not too excited at the moment as we have to wait until the end of the season for the big picture.

"Last year we were second at one time but still didn't win promotion.

"My staff and I know what it takes to get out of this division and we have every chance of doing that if the players listen."
