Davies' day job secret of his success.

New Wales pack leader Stuart Davies yesterday revealed the secret of his success not joining rugby union's fulime professional circuit.

The Swansea number eight will face Grand Slam-chasing France at Wembley on Sunday week a first Five Nations Championship start for three years in a reshuffled back row. Ebbw Vale captain Kingsley Jones is on the replacements' bench, allowing Colin Charvis an openside flanker's role after featuring at No 8.

Davies' had a dynamic 20-minute substitute appearance helped Wales beat Ireland last weekend. And the 32-year-old, capped 15 times between 1992 and 1995, says his blistering form can be attributed to "not wearing a tracksuit all day". Davies, the only personnel change after Dublin, is an environmental health officer with Swansea City Council by day.
