David Zechnich, an audit partner of Price Waterhouse in Anchorage,
was named partner-in-charge of the accounting and management consulting office. He replaces Craig Duncan, who is transferring to the Seattle
office of Price Waterhouse as tax partner. Zechnich joined Price
Waterhouse in 1978 and was transferred to Anchorage in 1989. He worked
closely with the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce to re-establish the Price
Waterhouse Business Attitude Survey last year. Zechnich is a member of
the Dean's Advisory Council for the University of Alaska Anchorage School of Business and is a past president of the Northwest Financial
Symposium, a non-profit group formed to aid companies seeking financing.
Duncan, who became partner-in-charge of the Anchorage office in 1988 and
helped to open the office in 1974, plans to continue to spend about one
week per month in the Anchorage office providing tax planning and
consulting services to clients. Donna Romero assumes responsibility for
management of the Anchorage office tax practice. She is a certified
public accountant with 12 years of public accounting experience,
including 9 years with Price Waterhouse.
