David PRENTICE: Homing in on Wayne's change of plan.
WE were led to believe that Wayne Rooney was convinced his future lay away from Goodison only AFTER his Euro 2004 heroics.
His advisers wouldn't mislead us, as well as a court of law, would they?
So maybe Wayne and Coleen simply tired of life in Formby less than a year after moving in to their palatial pile there. According to reports, Wayne had decided to move to the swish Manchester suburb of Prestbury in March.
Rooney bought a mansion, and has knocked it down. But Macclesfield Council's chief planning officer Peter Yates revealed: ``Planning permission was granted for the house in March this year, but Rooney's agents have come back with some amendments to the approved scheme. ''
Suspicious? You bet.
