By Liezle Basa Inigo

Lingayen, Pangasinan -- This province received a Php1 million financial aid to calamity-stricken Pangasinenses from the local government unit (LGU) of Davao City led by Mayor Sara Z. Duterte.

Davao City LGU sent Emmanuel Jaldon, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer, to the Pangasinan Provincial Capitol on August 22 to hand over the financial aid to the provincial government.

The Provincial Administrator (PA) Nimrod Camba, on behalf of Governor Amado I. Espino, III, received the financial aid and expressed gratitude to Davao City LGU's act of kindness to Pangasinenses.

Atty. Camba told Jaldon that last July, Pangasinenses were affected by massive flooding due to the southwest monsoon or "Habagat" enhanced by tropical storm "Inday" and tropical depression "Josie."
