Dates for facility safeguard program announced by ASME.

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), New York, NY, has announced a number of dates for the ASME Risk Analysis and Management for Critical Asset Protection (RAMCAP[TM]) program in 2008. Hosted in collaboration with Alion Science and Technology, the RAMCAP program is a framework for analyzing and managing the risks associated with natural disasters and terrorist attacks on chemical refineries, power plants, and other critical infrastructures. Developed under contract with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, RAMCAP includes a standardized methodology to carry out vulnerability analysis, threat assessment, risk management, and other steps to safeguard facilities, systems, and personnel. The three-day program will be held March 10-12, April 14-16, May 5-7, and June 9-11 in Washington, DC, at Alion Science and Technology's facility.
