Datacard Expands Best-Selling Family of High-Volume Card Issuance Systems; High-Speed Smart Card Module and Space-Saving Flat-Panel Controls Highlight New System.

Datacard Group today introduced a new card issuance system with all the speed and power of its current 9000 Series card issuance system, plus a smartly redesigned workspace and a smart card module that offers the power and flexibility required for high-volume EMV programs. The company announced the Datacard(R) 9000E Series card issuance system today at CARTES 2003 in Paris.

In addition to the space-saving flat-screen control panel and high-speed smart card module, the Datacard 9000E system offers a full range of personalization modules. The system can be configured with a variety of high-performance capabilities, including embossing, indent printing, topping, graphics printing, magnetic stripe encoding, smart card personalization, label affixing, laser engraving, card delivery and more. The system can be configured with as many as 20 modules.

Schnaus said he expects the Datacard 9000E system will be a popular solution for traditional high-volume card programs with aggressive productivity goals. The 9000E system offers superior power, reliability and flexibility.
