DataCore appoints new value-added distributor in Japan.

DataCore Software, a provider of storage virtualisation software, announced on Thursday (23 April) that Sumisho Computer Systems Corporation (SCS), a value-add distributor of IT solutions in Japan, has signed on as a new DataCore value-added distributor.

According to the company, in becoming a distributor for DataCore Software, SCS is building on its experience of distribution partnerships for productivity software solutions from vendors such as Citrix, VMware and Microsoft. The partnership extends DataCore Software's distribution within Japan and brings additional value to resellers through SCS's virtualisation-focused product offerings, its technical support and commitment to total quality of service.

The partnership is an extension of DataCore's global channel strategy to align with successful Citrix, Microsoft and VMware distributors in key high growth markets worldwide, the company said.

In signing on as a value-added distributor for DataCore, SCS is to promote and distribute the company's virtual storage, business continuity, disaster recovery and SAN software products throughout Japan. The agreement includes the distribution rights for the full line of the company's storage virtualisation, disaster recovery and continuous data protection solutions. No financial details were disclosed.
