Darts champ comes home.

NEIGHBOURS and friends toasted the success of world champion Stephen 'the bullet' Bunting.

Bunting, who won the British Darts Organisation World Championship title on Sunday night, showed off his new silverware at his home in St Helens.

The keen Liverpool FC fan, originally from Fazakerley, celebrated his victory with his toddler son Toby.

He stormed to the win in an all-English final against Alan Norris at the Lakeside Complex in Surrey on Sunday night.

Norris had won a fascinating last-four clash with Jan Dekker to earn his spot.

But Bunting, 28, was always the tournament favourite after the top seed defeated fellow Scouser Robbie Green 6-1. Bunting, who honed his darts skills at Fazakerley's Copplehouse pub and Holy Name Social Club, won the final seven sets to four and he broke into tears as he picked up the trophy.
