Darden Restaurants Inc's (NYSE:DRI) board of directors authorised a regular quarterly cash dividend of USD0.63 per share on the company's outstanding common stock, it reported on Thursday.

The dividend to shareholders of record date at the close of business on 10 January 2018 will be paid on 1 February 2018.

Darden Restaurants, through its subsidiaries, owns and operates full-service restaurants in the US and Canada. As of 27 June 2017, it owned and operated about 1,700 restaurants under the Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, Yard House, The Capital Grille, Seasons 52, Bahama Breeze and Eddie V's brands.

The company was founded in 1968 and is based in Orlando, Florida,USA.
