Danny has got wheely good vision.
AS someone who commutes daily to work on a small motorbike, I was interested to read about the work of Swiss researchers studying drivers' emotional states.
We who ride defensively on two wheels - and whom insurance firms recognise financially as the most alert of all road users - are all too aware of inattention among the four-wheeled community.
The Swiss have tested facial recognition technology embedded in a steering wheel which can warn drivers about their emotional state.
It's got possibilities - but my fear is that it might only annoy motorists even more.
And the last thing we need is for drivers, stuck folded up in their cabins, to become even more distracted or tetchy.
The best advice I can give them, of course, is use two wheels. So I'm delighted that Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has returned from Scandinavia determined to make Northern Ireland the most two-wheel friendly place in Europe.
He said: "That is my vision for Northern Ireland and I am committed to making it happen."
You can see the benefits already - a Stormont politician with "vision"
