Danny has Handle on cup final pain.
DUMBARTON forward Danny Handling is aiming to make amends for a hat-trick of cup final disappointments on Saturday.
Handling has runners-up medals with Hibs from both major cup competitions - but was left out when the Leith side lifted the Scottish against Rangers in 2016.
Handling scored in last month's Irn-Bru Cup semifinal victory over Welsh side TNS to set up a showdown against Inverness in Perth.
He said: "Winning the trophy on Saturday would be the best thing I've done.
"I've been involved in three cup finals - two Scottish Cup and one in League Cup. I played in the 2013 Scottish Cup Final when Hibs lost 3-0 to Celtic and in the 2016 League Cup Final when Ross County won late on.
"But in the Scottish Cup Final against Rangers I was in the squad but didn't make the bench.
"So Saturday is a chance for me. It doesn't matter what cup it is - a final is a final. It will be a great day out.
Handling admitted he is used to getting butterflies and hopes his team-mates can handle the occasion.
He added: "Our players just need to stay composed. I've been nervous at the best of times and once again Hearts I even threw up."
