Statistics Denmark, the Danish state statistics agency, reportedly said on Monday (24 January) that the Danish consumer expectations index increased to 11.2 in January 2005 from 8 in December 2004.

Expectations had reportedly not been higher since 1998.

Estimates of Denmark's economic situation reportedly increased to 15.8 in January 2005 from 14 in December 2004, while the one-year outlook improved to 9.5 from 6.

Estimates of purchases of large consumer goods changed to +1.3 in January from -7 in December 2004, reported the online edition of the Danish newspaper Copenhagen Post.
