Daniels and Guy shine.

THE pairing of Depriest Daniels and Adam Guy clinched top spot in this week's African and Eastern Monday Madness Night Golf Series competition at the Royal Golf Club with a nett score of 32.8.

The win was the first of the current series for the perennial order of merit contenders.

Second place went to the duo of Rajinder Sachdeva and Naeem Khan with a nett score of 33.3, putting the pair at the top of the series order of merit with only one week remaining. In third place was the resurgent Gordon Bennie and partner Joey Thomas who finished on 34.3 nett.

In the one course side contests Heinz Hurter was nearest the pin on hole 12 and Yousif Al Murbati was nearest on 16.

Once again a full field took to the Club's Montgomerie championship course to contest the penultimate night of the current series. The format was "Saint Andrews Foursomes" which involves one player playing all the second shots on the odd numbered holes with the other partner taking the even numbered holes.

The prize presentation took place in the Club's exclusive Members' Lounge and Jaswinder Singh from African and Eastern was on hand to present the prizes.

The popular A&E Monday Madness Night Golf Series is open to non-members at a cost of BD20 per night for the nine-hole event and tees off every Monday evening with a 6.30pm shotgun start. To register for the next competition on Monday, please contact the Golf Events Department on email
