Dandia festival.

More than 500 people are expected to attend a Navrang Dandia dance celebration at The Palace hotel tonight.

The Bollywood-themed event, which marks Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, start at 8pm and guests are urged to wear costumes similar to Indian film stars.

Bahrain-based DJ and Voice FM radio DJ Aaapka Paresh will play a selection of popular Bollywood tunes and remixes.

The event is organised by Damas in association with the hotel and the Navarang group comprising of Ashok Shetty, Kunal Danda, Dimple Danda, Mili Choudhary and Ketan Choudhary.

Tickets are BD1.500 each and refreshments will be available at the celebration.
