Dancing to distraction.

Byline: LORNE JACKSON

I NOW I've a reputation in Brum for being a big, butch uber macho sort of fella, but I have to admit I've been enjoying Birmingham's International Dance Festival. One highlight was a visit to the Hippodrome by the Strictly Come Dancing Professionals.

Quirkiest of all is Visible Dances, which takes place in the city centre, in the shopping area just outside The Pavilions. Highly imaginative, and free, it involves dancers climbing on phone boxes, waltzing with prams and clambering up buildings.

It's on again this afternoon, and I'd recommend a view.

Even if you are a big, butch uber macho sort of fella.
