Dana Gas posted excellent Q2 net profit due to condensate sales in Iraq.

Dubai, 22 Aug: United Arab Emirate-based natural gas firm Dana Gas has announced financial results for the period ended 30 June, 2009. I t has posted net profit of 392 million dirhams in the second quarter, compared with 34 million a year earlier. The result has emphasized the strength of the company 's operations and business development strategy being pursued in light of current economic challenges.

Revenue from the sale of hydrocarbons reached 303 million dirhams while the gross profits reached about 97 million dirhams, a 31 percent rise from 2008, due to condensate sales from the operations in the Kurdish region of Iraq, Dana Gas said.
