Dame dismay.

I WONDER if any of your readers who visited the North Wales Theatre, Llandudno, for the Dame Kiri Te Kanawa concert were as disappointed in the show as we ladies from Vicars Cross, Chester.

A lovely lady with a lovely voice, but what a dull performance on an equally drab stage, brightened only by the red dress she wore.

A choice of more popular arias would perhaps have been appreciated by the not very responsive audience.

To us, the highlight of the concert was the excellent performance by the accompanying pianist.
