Dairy Management Inc. has launched a new online reformulation resource at The site allows food manufacturers to access expertise on how dairy ingredients can help them reformulate foods to give them lower trans fatty acid levels. This comes in the wake of FDA's ruling to list trans fatty acids on the Nutrition Facts panel of conventional foods and some dietary supplements by Jan. 1, 2006. The site contains information on trans fatty acids and the new FDA regulation. The FDA ruling may pose a challenge for many companies in the food and beverage industries.
