Dahlia group sets sale, auction.

Byline: Almanac by The Register-Guard

The Lane County Dahlia Society will hold its annual tuber sale and auction at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Campbell Senior Center, 155 High St. The auction will feature dahlias that are new and/or highly competitive in shows. The sale is of other quality dahlias, priced at $3 or less. Call 688-5769 or 345-1880.

The Eugene Bonsai Society will present a "Three Ring Circus" at its 7 p.m. Thursday meeting at 1645 High St. The program will consist of three simultaneous demonstrations on similar trees.

Garden author Cole Burrell of Native Landscape Design in Virginia will speak before the Willamette Valley Hardy Plant Group at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Agate Hall, 1787 Agate St. Also, Alice Doyle of Log House Plants will show slides and talk about the newest plants for the 2002 season. Admission is $2 for members, $5 for nonmembers.
