Dads' equal rights blow after U-turn; REPORT.
SEPARATED fathers should not be given equal access to their children, ministers have been told in a review of the family justice system.
The recommendation is buried in ex-Whitehall mandarin David Norgrove's report out today - a stark contrast to his call in March for dads to get more legal rights to see their children.
It also said there was "no evidence" of bias towards mums in court rulings.
The report marks a U-turn by Mr Norgrove. He said originally there should be a new right to "reinforce the importance of the child continuing to have a relationship with both parents". Campaigners said the report was "a betrayal of children and their families".
Fathers 4 Justice added: "It is a monstrous sham, a bureaucratic exercise in improving the efficiency of injustice. This report condemns children to a life without fathers with catastrophic consequences."
