Dad is jailed for burglary.

A dad who has put his girlfriend "through the wringer" was jailed at Teesside Crown Court yesterday.

Michael I'Anson, a 23-year-old father-of-two, was locked up for 18 months after admitting he burgled a Hartlepool home.

I'Anson, from Dalkeith Road, Hartlepool, stole electrical equipment worth more than pounds 1,500, prosecutor Paul Caulfield said.

He had three other unknown accomplices to the crime, said Mr Caulfield.

Jonathan Walker, defending, told the court that I'Anson had breached bail by not attending the police station on one occasion as he had to look after his children.

I'Anson asked Judge David Bryant to take into consideration two school burglaries and two other house burglaries.
