A WIDOW told yesterday how she was left devastated when her husband died while working abroad.

Andy Robinson suffered a brain haemorrhage while he slept - just a week after his 49th birthday.

The dad of three had been due to return home from his work as a recruitment manager in Kazakhstan later this month.

Stunned wife Val, 37, said: "Andy had regular medical check-ups as he was constantly travelling abroad to work, so to find out he died of a brain haemorrhage has been devastating.

"He was such a kind man and was loved by so many people.

"One time, his barber in Kazakhstan told him that his clippers weren't working properly and Andy bought a new set the next time he was in Paisley then took them back over.

"He was always wanting to help people out whenever he could."

Andy and Val had a daughter Emily, 13. He also had 19-year-old twins Amy and Gilan from a previous relationship.

His funeral is at Paisley Town Hall on Monday.
