With unique units throughout Hoboken and Jersey City currently available and locations throughout Central and Northern New Jersey slated for first quarter 2007, Furnished Quarters is now offering the New Jersey marketplace the same quality product, unparalleled level of service and trademark design its customers worldwide have come to expect. Paul DaSilva, a veteran hospitality professional most recently with the InterContinental Hotels Group, has been named general manager for Furnished Quarters' new portfolio. The announcement was made by the firm's founders, Steven and Gary Brown."The New Jersey metro area is a top business destination and a natural extension of the New York marketplace for Furnished Quarters," said Steven Brown. "Many of our existing clients in New York either live or work in New Jersey and vice versa. For business travelers and families relocating, we are thrilled to be able to serve this new consumer base. With a current inventory of over 110 units and a strategic growth plan in place, we expect to add another 40 units by year's end."
As General Manager, DaSilva will continue to ensure Furnished Quarters' reputation for quality customer service providing guests the utmost in convenience, style and comfort. He will also oversee Furnished Quarters' growth in the New Jersey marketplace.
Prior to joining Furnished Quarters, DaSilva served as Director of Catering for The Barclay InterContinental New York where he was responsible for over $5 Million in sales through client retention and new business. From 1986 to 2005, Mr. DaSilva held executive positions with the InterContinental Hotels Group's Crowne Plaza in White Plains, NY.
Most recently, he served as Director of Operations responsible for increasing sales volume by over 10% yearly and serving as management liaison between IHG and potential buyers for the Asset Management sale of the hotel.
Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, DaSilva is a member of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce. He resides in Milford, CT.
