DYNCORP WINS $54 MILLION IN NEW CONTRACTS

RESTON, Va., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- DynCorp, a diversified professional and technical services firm, has been awarded contracts with the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy totaling more than $54 million.
Under the $11 million U.S. Air Force contract, won in recompetition, DynCorp will provide research and development testing and evaluation support services to the Air Force Development Test Center at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. DynCorp will manage the Air Force Visual Information System, which includes operation of the Eglin Photographic Lab, one of the largest in the Air Force.
Under the U.S. Navy contract DynCorp will provide base operating support services to the U.S. Naval Air Technical Training Center in Millington, Tenn. The four-year contract is valued at more than $43 million.
According to DynCorp Government Services Group President Paul Lombardi: "These awards continue to point to DynCorp's strength in a shrinking market. The renewal of the Eglin Air Force Base contract is confirmation of customer satisfaction in the technical services arena. Further, with the award of the Naval Air Station contract, we expand our technical business with the U.S. Navy."
Headquartered in Reston, DynCorp provides diversified professional and technical services to customers in U.S. and foreign government agencies and in the commercial aviation industry. With 20,000 employees and more than $911 million in annual revenues, DynCorp is one of the largest majority employee-owned companies in the nation.
