DYNCORP NAMES EDWARD HOFFMANN VICE PRESIDENT, INTERNATIONAL SERVICES DIVISION

 RESTON, Va., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- DynCorp, a professional and technical services firm, announced that Edward W. Hoffmann has joined the company as vice president-business development of its international services subsidiary, DynCorp International Services, Inc. (DISI). In this capacity Hoffmann will assist in expanding DynCorp's international presence targeting maintenance, logistic and high-tech services with government and commercial clients.
 Hoffmann comes to DynCorp from Fairchild Space and Defense where he was director of business development for avionics systems. As director Hoffmann was responsible for capturing international markets in ground planning and support, mass memory, embedded training and maintenance diagnostic systems. Prior to Fairchild, Hoffmann had extensive experience in developing airborne radar markets within the Pacific Rim for the Norden Systems Division of United Technologies.
 According to Vice President Paul Lombardi: "I am extremely pleased that Edward Hoffmann has joined DynCorp. Ed brings extensive international experience to DISI. He has worked closely with the U.S. military services as well as numerous foreign governments and industries. Ed will be a great asset in our efforts to expand our international presence."
 Hoffmann earned a bachelor of science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a master's degree in international relations from the University of Southern California at the Royal Institute of Foreign Affairs, London. Additionally, he is currently assigned as an F-16 pilot with the Washington Air National Guard.
 Headquartered in Reston, DynCorp provides professional and technical services to U.S. and foreign government clients and the commercial aviation industry worldwide. DISI, also headquartered in Reston, provides support services to the U.S. Army and to the Kuwait Land Forces Headquarters in Kuwait and serves customers in Germany, the Middle East and South America.
