Derren Brown: Infamous Channel 4, 9pm More than three million people watched in October 2003 as Derren Brown diced with death and played Russian Roulette on telly. Strangely, the show only garnered 20 complaints, yet was compulsive for all who tuned in to see the illusionist put his life on the line in the name of entertainment.

Eleven years on, and he's as popular as ever. Now there's a chance to see the Bafta-winning illusionist's sell-out stage show recorded at the Grand Theatre in Leeds during his Olivier-nominated tour. The evening features an inventive mix of traditional magic, mind-reading, memory games and thought-provoking entertainment that leaves his audience enthralled and enlightened in equal measure.

Jon Richardson Grows Up Channel 4, 10.35pm When he's not winning 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown most weeks, maths wiz/ pedantic funnyman Jon Richardson is often bringing the house down at comedy gigs around the UK.

However, he's also a dab hand at documentaries, as his previous film about obsessive compulsive disorder (Jon Richardson: A Little Bit OCD), and The Real Man's Road Trip: Sean and Jon Go West'proved.

During this latest series he gets to grips with mortgages, marriage and parenthood - issues that strike fear into the hearts of many thirtysomethings.

In episode two, he and friend Matt Forde, with the aid of their orange camper van (called Florence) examine our relationship with cash. Does it buy happiness, and if so, how much do you need to be a contented grown-up?
