 DYCOM INDUSTRIES BOARD DISCHARGES PRESIDENT AND COO
 WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Dycom Industries, Inc. (NYSE: DY) announced that its board of directors today had discharged William T. Stover as its president and chief operating officer. Stover was also suspended from his responsibilities as president of Ansco & Associates, Inc., a Dycom subsidiary, pending an investigation by a committee of the board of directors. The committee consists of all of Dycom's directors other than Stover and Billy V. Ray Jr.
 On Feb. 24, Stover and Ray announced that they had agreed to sell certain shares of Dycom's stock and other property to Burnup & Sims Inc. (NASDAQ: BSIM). Burnup, a competitor of Dycom, has announced its intention to effect a merger between Dycom and Burnup.
