 SEVENTH AVENUE TO 'ACCESSOREYES' ON ICE
 NEW YORK, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- A standing-room-only audience of Seventh Avenue devotees opened its eyes today to a new world of fashion accessories as Brooke Shields and a celebrated entourage of figure skaters gracefully demonstrated the stunning effect of matching eye color to wardrobe.
 "AccessorEyes On Ice," billed as a unique fashion experience, was sponsored by DuraSoft Colors contact lenses. 1992 Olympic figure skating gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi and four local skaters moved to the beautiful choreography of JoJo Starbuck and the sounds of "For Your Eyes Only" and "Don't It Make Your Brown Eyes Blue," changing their eye color to match the 18 dazzling Nicole Miller designs they modeled.
 In welcoming the audience of fashion and consumer reporters and editors, Charles M. Stroupe, president of Wesley-Jessen Corp., marketer and manufacturer of DuraSoft Colors, said, "DuraSoft Colors contact lenses have become a mainstream fashion accessory. When used under the supervision of an eye care professional, they're fun, safe and easy to wear."
 "I wear violet, hazel, green and blue," said show emcee and DuraSoft Colors spokesperson Brooke Shields. "I change my eye color to match my clothes, or sometimes just to match my mood."
 "I've been a DuraSoft-lens wearer," said Kristi Yamaguchi, also a DuraSoft spokesperson. "And now I'm also wearing DuraSoft Colors because they're fun and a new way for me to express myself."
 The skaters modeled four lines of Nicole Miller's designs. The first line offered one item from each group of Nicole's fall line called "Characters." The second line featured wool lycra knits and the third showcased whimsical silk boxer shorts- and vest-prints. Green, red, black and striped evening wear concluded the fashion presentation. A variety of the designs were made of Hoechst Celanese's CELEBRATE! acetate and each design was complemented by the changing colors of the skater's eyes.
 Kristi Yamaguchi stopped the show with two "model" performances. Nicole Miller herself joined Kristi on the ice, much to the audience's delight.
 Stroupe said the company developed "AccessorEyes On Ice" as a unique approach for blending the DuraSoft Colors fashion message with the brand's sponsorships of professional figure skating.
 In late August, Wesley-Jessen announced that DuraSoft Colors would be the exclusive sponsor of the DuraSoft World Professional Figure Skating Championships(R) and the DuraSoft Challenge of Champions competitions. Both events will be held in December this year, and will be broadcast nationally in early 1993.
 Yamaguchi will compete in both events, making her professional debut in the DuraSoft World Professional Figure Skating Championships on Dec. 12 in Landover, Md.
