DUQUESNE LIGHT TO REDEEM 7-7/8 PERCENT SERIES OF FIRST MORTGAGE BONDS

 PITTSBURGH, May 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Duquesne Light Company announced today that it will redeem its 7-7/8 percent series of first mortgage bonds due March 1, 2001, on June 7, 1993, pursuant to the provisions of the trust indenture dated as of Aug. 1, 1947, as supplemented, between Duquesne Light Company and Mellon Bank N.A., as trustee.
 The company will redeem all of the $34.65 million in outstanding bonds of the 7-7/8 percent series (CUSIP Number 266228 AT2) at 102.03 percent of principal amount.
