 WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Du Pont Merck Pharmaceutical Company honored 12 outstanding representatives, from a sales force of 500, with the company's prestigious Director's Club Awards.

 These awards honor the general and hospital sales representative with the highest percent quota attainment from each region in the country. According to Jerry T. Gaylord, executive director of U.S. sales at Du Pont Pharma, "representatives achieving this status must combine excellent sales ability, territory management skills and product knowledge with a thorough understanding
of the needs of the physicians who use their products." Winners received: a seven-day trip for two to a location of their choice, five extra days of vacation, a gold inscribed ring, and a plaque with a congratulatory letter.
 "The Director's Club Awards are part of our company's commitment to recognize and reward employee accomplishments and achievements," said Joseph A. Mollica, Du Pont Merck's president and chief executive officer.
 The Director's Club Award winners for 1991 are: Murray Bloom of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Jim Boland of Houston; Joann K. Christian of Lenexa, Kan.; David J. Cox of Columbus, Ohio; Linda E. Gibbs of Pittsford, N.Y.; Gale Hair of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; D. Jane Hoehn of San Rafael, Calif.; Susan M. Proud of Lancaster, Pa.; Kathleen Espe-Rivera of Morton Grove, Ill.; Irene Sahyouni of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; Sherry Walker of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and John Wiggins of Marietta, Ga.
