 DTED GETS ACTING COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
 ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- E. Peter Gillette,


commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development (DTED) appointed Virginia Padden acting director of the department's Communications Office.
 The Communications Office is the central communications center for the department.
 Padden has been a member of the Communications Office staff since 1987. She gained experience in communications when she worked for Hennepin County's Office of Public Affairs and Farm Credit Services, prior to her employment with the state. Padden is also an experienced photographer who has worked as a commercial freelancer.
 Padden holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota.
