DRUG EMPORIUM RETAINS INVESTMENT ADVISOR COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Drug Emporium, Inc.
(NASDAQ: DEMP) announced today that it has retained J.C. Bradford & Co. as its investment advisor. The engagement is for the specific purpose of advising the company's board of directors in connection with the stated efforts of certain stockholders who have publicly expressed a desire to sell their Drug Emporium common shares.
Gary Wilber, company chief executive officer, said that it was in the best interest of the company and all of its stockholders that an orderly process be implemented to preserve a stable business environment for the company during this period. Drug Emporium is a national chain of 132 company-owned stores specializing in competitively priced health and beauty aids, cosmetics and prescription drugs.
