DRINK-DRIVER JAILED.

Byline: By PAUL HIGGINS

A MAN who was caught drink-driving twice in three months was yesterday jailed.

Belfast Crown Court heard police stopped Martin Christopher Dean Waller, 34, on December 30, 2005, after he had crashed into a parked car.

A lawyer said Waller was breath-tested again on March 14 last year after he was spotted driving erratically in North Belfast. Waller told police he had been banned from driving by "nearly every court in Northern Ireland". He pleaded guilty to two charges of driving while disqualified, two of having no insurance, two of driving while unfit and one of possessing cocaine.

Jailing Waller for eight months on one bill of indictment and making the 18-month probation order consecutive to it, Judge Tom Burgess revealed he has 138 previous road traffic offences.
