DREAM ISLAND.
I see this week that two more people have left the Hebridean Island of Canna for the mainland. That leaves just 15 residents! The National Trust for Scotland now has two houses for rent and sadly no one has come up with a firm offer. I once landed a yacht on Canna and found three Churches. These were Presbyterian, Roman Catholic and Free Church. I called in at the Free Church building. It was empty but a collection plate lay on a table by the door, piled high with cash and notes. The local people must be very trusting. Or could it be that with no bank or supermarket there's nowhere to spend the money?
