DRAM GOOD.

Byline: Rockavon

Mukhadram gained the first Group 1 success of his career in the Eclipse Stakes at Sandown.

William Haggas' 14-1 shot always raced prominently for Paul Hanagan as Franny Norton set a scorching early pace on Somewhat (100-1).

Hanagan kicked for home two out and Mukhadram powered clear in the closing stages to see off Trading Leather (12-1) by two lengths.

Somewhat stayed on well to take third ahead of Kingston Hill but the well-fancied The Fugue and Night Of Thunder never looked dangerous and both finished unplaced.

Haggas said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to bits, he so deserves to win a good race.

"It went well for him but he was always travelling well. I've lost my voice I shouted that much.

"We've always believed in him and I'm thrilled for everyone he's gone and done it today. I hope the King George at Ascot is next."
