DR. GREY APPOINTED HOECHST CELANESE VICE PRESIDENT

 SOMERVILLE, N.J., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Ruthann Grey has been appointed vice president - communications and public affairs, for Hoechst Celanese Corporation, effective July 1, 1993.
 In this position, Dr. Grey will be responsible for internal and external communications and corporate relations. She will be a member of the corporation's Operating Committee.
 Dr. Grey joins Hoechst Celanese from Public Service Company of Colorado in Denver where she served as division manager - corporate relations. She was responsible for the company's internal and external communications, including media relations and employee communications.
 Prior to joining Public Service Company of Colorado, Dr. Grey held key positions with Equitable Life Assurance Society of the U.S., Burroughs Corporation and The New York Times.
 Dr. Grey received her bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in education from the State University of New York in Buffalo.
 Dr. Grey is a member of The Conference Board's Community and Public Issues Council and the Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of America National Advisory Council. She also is chairperson of the public relations team for the 1994 Women's International Economic Summit.
 While in Denver, she was an adjunct faculty member for the Center for Leaders for Nonprofit Management at Regis University in Denver. She served as an appointed member of the Colorado Commission on Children and Families and the Colorado Child Health Plan. She was the chairperson of the Mile High United Way Funds Distribution Committee for Youth Initiatives.
