DOW TO CALL FOUR DEBENTURES

 MIDLAND, Mich., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) announced today that it has elected to call the outstanding principal amount of four separate debentures totaling $246.86 million.
 The debentures being redeemed are:
 -- $8 million 6.7 percent debentures with a maturity date of June 1, 1998 and a redemption price of 100 percent of par (trustee: Citibank, N.A.);
 -- $24 million 7.4 percent debentures with a maturity date of July 15, 2002 and a redemption price of 101.184 percent of par (trustee: Chase Manhattan Bank);
 -- $32.86 million 7.625 percent debentures with a maturity date of July 1, 2003 and a redemption price of 101.525 percent of par (trustee: Citibank, N.A.);
 -- $182 million 7.875 percent debentures with a maturity date of July 15, 2007 and a redemption price of 102.565 percent of par (trustee: Chemical Bank).
 The respective trustees are notifying the holders of these debentures of Dow's decision to call. All of the debentures will be called on Dec. 15, 1993.
