DORADO SECURES FINANCING, EXPANDS OFFERINGS.

DORADO CORPORATION, SAN MATEO, CALIfornia, has announced it has secured $25 million in funding in its series C round of investment. The round was led by Crosspoint Venture Partners and Palomar Ventures, which increased its investment in the company, first announced in March 2000. New to this round was Oasis Ventures. Dorado will use the funds to further develop its e-commerce products and services for banks and other financial service companies.

Additionally, Dorado and Green-Point Mortgage have signed a product and service agreement for the Dorado Relationship Commerce Platform[TM] and e-Collaborator[TM] portal application, configured for wholesale mortgage lending. Under the terms of the agreement, Dorado will provide an online collaborative environment for more than 15,000 GreenPoint-approved mortgage brokers. The Relationship Commerce Platform and e-Collaborator portal will provide brokers with a faster and easier way to access GreenPoint's specialty loan products, according to Dorado.

Dorado has also announced the launch of e-Retention[TM], a mortgage banking application software module. e-Retention is intended for large U.S. mortgage banks with servicing portfolios or marketing databases, that want to reduce portfolio runoff or to attract new mortgage customers through refinancing. e-Retention can be used to assist loan officers or call-center channels, to provide a self-service Web site or to support any combination of origination strategies.
