DONS LOOKING IN GOOD NICK.

MK DONS 2

Maynard 50, Murphy 90

CARDIFF CITY 1

Noone 81

DONS hitman Nicky Maynard is targeting a victory at Birmingham today after helping sink former club Cardiff.

Craig Noone cancelled out Maynard's opener but Josh Murphy's (below) stoppage-time winner kept the hosts out of the drop zone. Maynard said: "It's always nice to score a goal, and it's nice as well to score against a team you've just left. I have lots of friends at Cardiff, but I'm an MK Dons player and a striker who loves scoring goals.

"The games at Christmas always come thick and fast, but we are full of confidence and hopefully we can pull another three points on Monday.

"For some reason, whether it's mental or whatnot, we are more comfortable at home than away. We need to put that to bed and hopefully do that on Monday."
