DON'T MENTION THE TOWEL WARDENS.. Germans crack down on sun lounger cheats.
FOR you, Fritz, ze sun lounger war iz over... because a German holiday firm is employing wardens to stop tourists using their towels to reserve the best spots.
After years of complaints from international holidaymakers, cruise line company AIDA has brought in the staff on its fleet of nine ships.
Warning stickers go on towels left on sunbeds or deckchairs. Towels are removed if they are still unattended 30 minutes later.
Rostock-based AIDA, now owned by British-US company the Carnival Corporation, said yesterday: "No-one has yet complained about having a sticker put on their towel.
"We want to make sure all our guests have plenty of space to sunbathe and relax."
