DOME BOSS QUITS JOB.

THE head of the Millennium Commission quit last night dealing a new blow to the controversial Dome project.

Chief executive Eric Sorenson denied he clashed with minister in charge Peter Mandelson but said his job has simply finished.

Mr Sorenson, who allocated pounds 400million to the development, said: "They don't need me anymore. It is rubbish to suggest there any been any rift."

Top Tory Michael Heseltine last night clashed with party leader William Hague by backing the Millennium Dome.
