DOLLARS AND SENSE(R) SHIFTS FROM THE SOFTWARE TOOLWORKS TO BUSINESS SENSE INC. SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Business Sense Inc., a leading developer and publisher of accounting and financial software, has announced that it has acquired the development, publication and marketing rights to Dollars and Sense from The Software Toolworks. Effective Oct. 1, 1992, Business Sense will take over responsibility for the development, manufacture and distribution of the personal financial management software product and will provide support to the installed base of users estimated at more than 500,000. "We believe The Software Toolworks customers will be well served by this new arrangement," said Bob Lloyd, president of The Software Toolworks. "Business Sense Inc. will continue providing high-level support and offers an impressive selection of financial management software." According to Ted Wood, president of Business Sense Inc., a developer of personal financial management software and business accounting software with offices in Utah, Wyoming and Florida, "Acquiring a financial management program with the strength to compete favorably in the under $50 market is a good move for everyone concerned. Dollars and Sense still has the highest-rated feature set and will be aggressively promoted through the channel," said Wood, "Our development and marketing efforts will take advantage of a fully integrated interface with Dollars and Sense. This will also include full use of our own proprietary numeric string manipulation toolbox at the programming level." Wood also noted that current Dollars and Sense users will receive the same high level of technical support currently available to other Business Sense customers.
