 DOLLAR BANK LOWERS PRIME
 PITTSBURGH, Dec. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Dollar Bank announced today


that it was lowering its prime rate from 7-1/2 percent to 6-1/2 percent, effective immediately.
 Hay Walker, executive vice president, said, "This decrease in the prime rate may be helpful in offsetting the softness in the economy."
 This follows a previous lowering of Dollar Bank's prime rate from 8 percent to 7-1/2 percent on Nov. 6, 1991.
