DOH lauds Maynilad.
The Department of Health (DOH) lauded the west zone water concessionaire Maynilad Water services Inc. (Maynilad) for its commitment to the high standard of occupational safety and health.
In the recent Gawad Kaligtasan, Kalusugan at Kapaligiran (GKKK) Awards, DOH Assistant Secretary Eric Tayag lauded the water firm for making safety as one of the company's priorities.
The 8th GKKK Awards recognized Maynilad employees and business partners in promoting workplace health and safety.
The Maynilad GKKK Awards is undertaken with the Department of Labor and Employment's (DOLE) Occupational Health and Safety Center and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources' (DENR) National Capital Region-Environmental Management Bureau.
Maynilad is the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines in terms of customer base.
It is the concessionaire of the MWSS for the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area, which is composed of the cities of Manila (certain portions), Quezon City (certain portions), Makati (west of South Super Highway), Caloocan, Pasay, Para?aque, Las Pi?as, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon all in Metro Manila; the cities of Cavite, Bacoor and Imus, and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario, all in Cavite Province.
