DO I LOOK LIKE AN 8-YEAR-OLD BOY? EXCLUSIVE Mum's security warning after flying with her son's passport.

Byline: By Janice Burns

CARELESS security officials failed to spot a young mum who flew to Scotland on her eightyear-old son's passport.

Amy Creed cleared four security checks and boarded a Ryanair flight without anyone noticing she had the wrong ID.

After she realised her error, the 24-year-old claims the airline told her to "chance her arm" and fly back with son Adam's passport.

Childminder Amy said: "It proves that security at the airports is lax and passports are not being properly checked."

Amy flew to Prestwick airport from Dublin for a pre-Christmas trip to visit relatives in Bellshill, Lanarkshire.

She left Adam with his grandparents before making the trip. It was only after arriving that she realised her error.

She was "gobsmacked" after phoning Ryanair for advice.

Amy said: "I couldn't believe it when I was told the only way to get home would be to chance my arm with the same passport."

Relatives at home in Dublin sent her passport over and she got it just in time to fly home.

Ryanair said: "Ryanair's staff inspect all passports. We have no evidence to suggest that this passenger travelled without proper identification."
