DMI SIGNS MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR DEAL WITH AAG
IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- DMI Inc., a company that

provides innovative solutions for the computer industry, announced today that it signed a multi-million dollar agreement with AAG, to market and sell DMI's revolutionary Archival Retrieval System (ARS). AAG is located in Danville, Calif.
The agreement calls for AAG to be an authorized reseller of the complete line of DMI products. The initial focus will be to market and sell the DMI ARS system to the large installed base of IBM RS6000 and AS400 systems. AAG was established to sell DMI products and will start the marketing cycle immediately.
The typical multi-user system provides its owner with access to only a small portion of the business's records and files, i.e. those that must be immediately accessible on-line. The less used information is stored on tape or microfiche where it is expensive to convert and difficult to find when needed. The DMI ARS system can be installed on a customer's host just like a terminal. Now seldom used data files or spooler reports can be stored on an optical drive, and retrieved for display from any user's terminal, all under control of normal system facilities.
The ARS system becomes an archival file server with very high capacity, since the ARS software automatically compresses data before storage. Multiple hard disks, optical disk drives or optical jukeboxes can be attached to the server as the need for more storage grows. The ARS server operates automatically, and does not require an operator or specialized user training. No system changes are needed and the archival/retrieval function can easily be integrated with existing applications if desired.
DMI Inc. is a publicly traded company with its stock traded in the U.S. over the counter market. Woodbridge and Associates, Costa Mesa, Calif., handles the investment banking and investor relations activities for DMI.
