DJ Murray to join Housexy party.

HOUSE DJ Richard Murray will perform at the 18th Housexy party at Club Seven at the Mishal International Hotel, Manama on Friday.

The event coincides with the launch of the clubbing brand's 10th album that features artistes including Armand van Helden, ATFC, Mark Knight, Seamus Haji and Quentin Harris.

The clubbing brand has now gained a weekly residency at Ibiza's Eden outlet and will start its season on June 5.

"We're proud to be working at such an international level and a great accolade for all of us involved in the brand," said Club Seven assistant manager Paul Terblanche.

"The parties will run on a weekly basis, and will feature all the Housexy residents.

Paul and resident DJ Mr K will represent Bahrain at the closing parties in September.

"When we started the party, no one believed in what we were doing, even people within our organisation," said Likwid Productions music director Karim Miknas.

"But with a lot of hard work, passion and dedication, Housexy is probably the best loved monthly night in Bahrain, a huge testament to a fantastic brand that deserves a massive applause and with the hard work of the superb team at Club Seven, we're among the top five international residencies for Ministry of Sound."

"The 10th CD releases is a milestone for any record label so we're celebrating with super resident DJ Richard Murray."

Richard played at Housexy's first show at the Ministry of Sound (MoS) in 2005 and has performed as the brand's headline act in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas since then.

In addition to mixing the brand's International, Summer In The City, Housewarming and The After Party albums, he also compiled and mixed the Creamfields CD in collaboration with Gung Ho! Recordings and the Daily Star last year.

While he features regularly on MoS Radio, with airtime on stations in Bulgaria, Portugal, the Philippines, Belgium and Ireland, his mixes also feature on Singapore Airlines, in-flight programming.

Rich Murray will perform following a warm-up set of groovy deep house music by Mr K from 9pm on Friday.

Tickets are BD5 for nightlife members and ladies and BD7 for non-members.
