Diversified has integrated the SpeechWorks solution into its automated voice response system, known as Diversified Direct, to answer participants in a natural-sounding voice, immediately understand spoken requests and process transactions - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This allows plan participants to complete customer service requests and transactions with just a few words.
To get started, all plan participants have to do is say or enter their Social Security number and personal identification number. The system allows individuals to check account balances, review investment performance, update their investment strategy for existing assets or new contributions, change personal account information, initiate selected transactions, and speak with a Customer Service Representative. And, since 60% of all participants using Diversified Direct only want their account balances, this information is provided immediately upon entry into the system. Participants may also access these services over the Web through Diversified Direct Online at http://www.divinvest.com.
